- Mission Statement:
- Operation Smile is a non-profit volunteer medical services organization providing free reconstructive surgery to children and young adults in 24 developing countries and the United States who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Since 1982, Operation Smile volunteers have medically treated more than 98,000 children and young adults.
- Some of Operation Smile's partner countries include: Bolivia, Brazil, Jordan, Cambodia, China, India, Jordan, Kenya, Morocco, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Panama Medical professionals from around the world come together to volunteer with Operation Smile. Each mission team includes plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, a dentist, speech pathologist, child life specialist and other professionals.
