About
The Community Commons Project at IU is an organization created for the purposes of understanding and sharing knowledge about commons, common pool resources, commoning activities, commons scholarship, commons governance, community autonomy, and community self-organization. The aim of the group is to build awareness of commons as well as awareness about the value and optimal thriving functions of communities, in all their forms. The function of the group is to interface with municipal and other territorial communities, university communities, virtual communities, and The Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis in order to learn, strategize about, implement, and share knowledge about the creation and management of commons, common pool resources, collective action activities, and community organizing.
